About this painting…

A scene in the beech woodlands near Checkendon as the sun was going down in Summer. I was inspired by the warm light filtering through the foliage of the trees and catching the tops of the beautiful ferns covering the forest floor.

This painting was entered into the Broadway Arts Festival competition and was chosen as one of the 150 finalists from 677 entries. It also found a new home.
